Been having some issues with my ex and her boyfriend lately, to make a long story short her soon to be ex husband was beating my 9 year old daughter...well to keep the courts from giving me custody she left the dude and moved ....well my daughter told me today that the new boyfriend has been spanking her,ive tried talkin to her mom about it and she told me not to worry bout what happens in her house..... so my question is is it legal for this dude to be spanking my kid?

I can tell you I own custody of my son little over a year ago.. Her husband was same way but my son would come back with marks still on him.. Its no in my order that he cant touch yell or be left alone wiith my son... Judge said if any of that happenes she is loosing her rights... He told her husband he wanted to drop him in a vat of bubbling oil lolComment

Does she come home with marks on her? If she does, or did i would be calling the police on him. Or you could have them drop her off next time, then call him out on why he spanks your daughter. Had a cousin that had this problem, the weekend he found out was on his custody weekend, he delivered his boy home, mom and boyfriend answered the door, cousin snatches boyfriend out the door and proceeds to give him an old fashioned butt stompin'.
Yes he spent the night in jail.
Yes he lost his job.

Beating is never OK. Discipline can be by anyone the parents allow if it is for the betterment of the child. It is a touchy subject and very fact dependent on legalities and I am sorry you are going through this.Comment
