Can someone school me on the hunts that TPWD draws for? I see the "Big Time Texas Hunts" on the website but I thought they drew for hunting other WMA as well.

They should be available later in the year. I think the first deadline for drawings is the beginning of August. -
They do, it's not time yet to enter the other ones. I do the same 6 every year for last 3 years so my points are saved up. Have I been drawn yet no but the price is reasonable and for a good cause.Comment

I've put in for them in the past, I've never been drawn yet but probably will continue to apply. If you go on the TPWD website you can apply starting in July for next year . If you put in for the same hunts year after year you will build preference points . I think you can put up to four people on your app if I remember correctly . The success rates are all posted on the website so you can get an idea about how much wildlife is there . Good LuckComment

For the most part, yes. You hunt by assigned compartment or blind. Some WMA provide transportation to and from your blind, most you need to drive your personal vehicle to your compartment where you will be hunting.
