    Tech Question/Linux

I am getting lots of request from people to work on some old computers. I dont work on XP anymore unless it is data recovery. I do have a few people that are refusing to upgrade though, so I would like to give them other options.

The only version of Linux i have used and am familiar with is Ubuntu. My question is, has anyone used a distro of Linux built for older machines? Basically just need to be able to browse internet and check e-mail.

Also, what about the chrome OS?

I only used ubuntu dont care for it to much. Never used chrome os if you have a extra comp install hyper v. And. Create a virtual machine with what ever os u want to give a whirl. This way u can inform your customer on different os. It depends on the user if they feel comfortable with using linux

Its a great way to test Stuff because if you break it you can just reinstall it here is what Virtual PC its smaller than Hyper V

Microsoft Virtual PC is a free application that helps you create your own virtual machines inside your current operating system, so you can test software, or learn a new environment easily.
