The Book Thief (2013) movie. Seen it? Soooo good!

WWII and the holocaust and all that has always interested me greatly. This movie was simply amazing. Anyone else seen it? Thoughts?

I've seen it. Saw it this past winter while i was in Bahrain. It was an excellent movie. I thought at first the adoptive mother was quite a $!?$/, but she turned out to be ok. the story was great but very sad.

I read about 5 or so books a year.

I read the Book Thief last year.
Hopefully the movie was a better than the book, which was a yawner IMHO.

To flip that, Unbroken was one of the best books I've read in a looong time and it's movie was less than stellar and didn't live up to the book IMO.

So I guess it can go both ways.

I think you will be happy with the movie version of The Book Thief.
I agree that the movies usually don't do the book or the story any justice. I'm glad that they made Unbroken into a movie but they skipped so many important parts. I think they politically corrected/cleaned the movie up if you ask me.
