    Micro SD Cards???

My wife got a new cell phone for Mothers Day and a free (not really) Samsung tablet came with it as a promotional deal. I was hoping to use the new tablet to look at my SD cards when I pull them out of my cams but it only takes the micro SD cards. How do these work and can I even use micro SD cards in trail cams? All of my cameras are Moultries.

You need an SD card reader. Got mine at Best Buy but you might be able to get them at Walmart now. Just make sure your tablet will read the SD cards through the reader. Mine will but not nearly as good as my Samsung phone will (using the same reader).

You just buy a card adapter for full size SD, then put the micro in that for the game came. Then take the micro out of it and in your Tablet. I sold quite a few micros on here. I still have more if your interested. $20 for 10 of them shipped to you. You will need to be the adapters but they are really cheap on amazon and ebay.

You can do this 1 of 2 ways.

        1) Micro SD cards come with an SD adapter, you could use this directly with the camera and then slip the micro SD out of the adapter into the tablet.

        or

        2) Samsung tablets should have a USB port on them. You can buy a cheap $15 USB adapter that accepts SD & microSD.

You can buy a full size card adapter. You put the micro card in the macro adapter then put it in the game cam. When you pull the card, just take the micro out of the adapter and put it in the laptop.

This thread is so funny. I was just googling Micro SD cards for my LG G3 Vigor. Going to Best Buy when I leave work to pick up a 32gig. They are on sale for $15.

Walmart had the 64g last week for $34.

Those are good prices, you just don't need anything that big for game cams and you need quite a few to run multiple camera's and to rotate them.

Get one of these readers, it plugs into the same port you charge or connect to a computer.

Thanks. I would rather use a regular SD Card because I have so many already.

So, I can get an adapter to use full size SD cards? That is even better.

Yes you can. It plugs into your phone or tablet charger port. My Samsung tablet has a hard time reading them but my phone brings the pictures right up as thumbnails. Go to hunting stand, pull SD card from camera, climb into stand, pop in card into reader and scan your pictures as you sit there hunting.
