Walked outside to adjust some motion lights that I installed earlier in the day. Saw movement coming from around the dog bed. This guy slither out. One of the biggest Coral snakes I've ever see. Sorry about blurry pictures.

I would have never thought to use a Dr. Pepper can to kill a snake.

I hate those dang things..I've only come across two and one was swimming on water. Killed both of them.

That's pretty cool. I'd make a hat band out of that dude. From what I've heard they're really not all that aggressive. On the other hand a buddy of mine got bit by one when he lived in Louisiana so obviously it does happen. He was handling it like it was friendly though so it was hardly the snakes fault.lol

Dr pepper was for size reference. I have to patch the hole in the ground from the 3 1/2 BB that took off the front 4" from the snake.

That is a big coral. Probably the only poisonous snake I will let pass unless it is in my yard then I would have killed it as well.
