My buddy and I are going hunting at a day lease next week for hogs and exotics. What do you guys do to help stack the odds? before we have brough corn and actually I was thinking about buying a bale of alfalfa. I guess I should mention we wont be hunting the protein. We will also be looking for big pigs on the night hunt. eight days and counting....

if your hunt is guided, listen to your guide
He is out there most everyday and knows what is going on.
We had a group of 6 hunters from Ohio last month.
One fellow just would not listen to Whitney.
She would put him in a stand only to either have him call to be moved or she would find him off 50 yards away in the bushes because he thought he was better off there than in the stands.
He was the only one in the group that went home without a Hog.
He called in one afternoon and demanded to be moved. She told him , if you will hang on and be still you will kill a hog right at dark.
He said no way, there was not enough cover around the feeder and wanted moved.
She picked him up and moved him.
That night when she picked him up they rode by the first stand..... there were 8 hogs under the feeder

Like Buff said listen to the guide!!! They see these animals everyday and know where to put you. But if you use a ground blind brush it in very well. If you do want to hunt somewhere they don't have a stand already placed your best bet would be a hang on only if they have the trees available. Where are you headed?
