Average turnaround time for muzzle threading and break installation

I have been after my dad for a few years to have his 300 RUM threaded and a break installed. He always talks about how hard it recoils. Come to find out one of the tenets in an industrial complex he owns is a gun smith. I went with him one day and was able to check out the guys shop and view some of his work. I told my dad to go ahead and have the guy do the work as I felt he was competent to do a good job. Here's the kicker, it's been 2 months and no results.

So I'm asking the GS, what is the typical turn around time to thread, install break, and contour break to match barrel dia?

Every one will be different. But, he should have let you know an expected turn around time. I got one done about a month ago and it was ready in 2 days
That was just threaded though. No break

The gunsmith knew we were coming and had the lathe ready when we showed up. Everything was done in a few hours....
