    Places to stay in Avinger

Wife wants to eat at 5D Cattle Company for her birthday at the end of this month.

Avinger is about 1.5hrs from the house

Thought if there was a good place to stay overnight that might beat driving back the same night

    Let the suggestions fly

Not much choice around Avinger. You are about a hour from Shreveport and the casino. Jefferson has some bed and breakfast and its about 20 miles. The next choice would be Marshall or Longview. Hope this help. I would go for Shreveport, a lot to do besides the casino.

        Thanks

Should have mentioned B&B or cabin type preferred

Guess I could stay at Buff's place if he does not have hunters
Probably better not stay there though, her birthday not mine Might be tempted to whack something at Buff's place

I live outside of hughes springs. Your best bet would probably be the wild flower in hughes springs. They just redid the rooms and from what ive heard they are pretty good. I see people stay there all the time. They've got a pretty good breakfast there too. You'll love 5D by they way!

Call Buff, at Big Oak Bowhunting and see if he has hunters then. If not, rent his hunters cabin for the night. It is as nice as any B&B out there! As an added bonus, you might get to see the animal museum that is his house!

Oops, just went back up and read your other post. Just don't take any weapons with you, and you will be fine.

There are a couple of Bed and Breakfasts in Hughes Springs. They also have the Wildflower inn, which as mentioned was recently remodeled. Jefferson also has some B&B. I can't think of anything in Avinger off of the top of my head.

It's about 15 minutes tops from Hughes Springs to Avinger. Pm me if you want me to get you the names and numbers of the B&B in Hughes Springs. Or the Wildflower.

I would check with Buff. But then again, if it was me, I would have to stay at my Mom and Dads. (They live in Avinger). Lol
