    Refurbished Ebay Computers?

Has anyone gone the ebay route on a computer purchase in the past?

I will be in the market to purchase some computers for a business that can handle AutoCAD and the Office Suite software. The specs I have been recommended to handle this are as follows:

    - i7 processor
    - discrete graphics (not integrated)
    - preferably Nvidia chip
    - 8 gb of RAM

I'd like to have a laptop with docking station capabilities (like I have for my current company) but dell wants +$2500 for just the one laptop. I really need 3 stations but two could be desktops, and obviously I am trying to keep costs down on all of this.

I found this one on ebay and it seems like a good deal with good seller ratings, but I've never owned a refurbished computer.

Any input from the greenscreen? And if anyone has suggestions on going a different route on buying or building PC's, feel free to send me a PM.

I've had good luck buying from usmicro. I've bought a dozen laptops and 30+ desktops from them. be prepared to replace a battery they are very good about sending parts if a problem is found. All have been off lease recertified machines.

Very safe to buy on Ebay if you ask the right questions, if item isn't as described you're guaranteed a full refund. Read descriptions carefully, ask about delivery times, you'll pay taxes if purchased from a Texas seller

I have purchase a lot of computers over the last 30 years, but never on ebay. Might be a great place to buy. I think I would only buy a new machine if I did, because the software is what cost so much in my opinion.

I need some post (20) to be able to start a new thread unless someone will post the information below for me.

Michael Waddell - Conroe Texas - Sports and Outdoor Banquet - 8 20 2015 Cost 20 dollars. Exhibitors, Speaker, BBQ dinner, Raffle, 2 guns given away as door prizes, etc.
13th Annual Banquet - Call First Baptist Church at 936-756-6601 for tickets. Thanks

My wife purchased a "new" Mac a while back on fleabay. While the machine works, something doesn't seem quite right about it when compared to machines purchased new from a brick and mortar dealer. Maybe its psychological, maybe its having somebody to actually talk to when you have an issue.

For that type of activity and for business where your equipment pays the bills I'd go new with warranty.

When I first started my company i bought used and "refurbished" they were all throw away machines and i spent more time and money in repair. it think they are fine when used for personal stuff but for business buy what you know will work.

Many of the sellers on Ebay of refurbished Computers are resellers. The buy refurbished computers direct from the manufacturer and then mark them up. You can buy these computers the same way they do!

If you want a refurbished Dell. Contact Dell directly ask for a factory refurbished computer and save even more money.
