Just wondering who all was going from the Austin area we have three in our group. I was wondering since this will be my first trip there what are some suggestions and tips for when we get there. Like should we leave wendsday or thursday and what are some of the better methods or tactics to hunt while there.

I live in Pflugerville and there will be about 11 of us heading down there. This will make my third year. We normally leave around 1am on Thursday and try to get in line and take a nap. It doesn't seem like you would gain much by getting there on Wednesday unless you had a camper or something to sleep in that was more comfortable than a pickup seat. It sounds like there will be quite a few TBHr's heading down there. It will be a blast. Take plenty of beer. It's no fun trying to leave and go get more. -

There is about 20 in our group. We always leave Austin at 6 or 7 Thursday morning. Most of the time we get there just as the line is finished, just check in and set up camp.I don't go hunting to stand in line.Comment
