2050z... What is the deal with the gasoline models are they Coleman? I have a buddy at the lease that uses gasoline in two of his lanterns.
I have two or three old lanterns and a 2 burner stove that I used in the Boy Scouts in the 50's think I will get them out and see what condition they are in.

coleman makes a duel fuel lanterns and stoves. The founts and tanks are gray colored. Unleaded gas is dirty and will eventually clog up the generators. I have one of each but only run white gas through them.

Those older lanterns used leather cups so they might need some oil to revive them. Stove is the same way. hope you have can make them hiss again.
