Got a bottle yesterday myself. Post up your thoughts when you have tried it

Has anyone tried this? I love Rye. It's allocated here so I decided to snag it. However, it's only 80 proof. I typically go for higher proof Bourbons and Ryes. So, I'm on the fence on whether or not to drink it, gift it or trade it.

Yes, it is good. Friend brought me a bottle of Basil Hayden's Bourbon yesterday. Hoping it is good too.

it is tasty, but i will not buy it again.

way too pricey for the proof and complexity

would pick up a Wild Turkey Rare Breed Rye, Rittenhouse Rye, or Pikesville Rye first and all three are much cheaper and better to me

Those are definitely some pretty solid Ryes for the price, although I haven't had the Pikesville. My favorite for the price is actually the Old Forester Rye. Why they proofed the BH so low is beyond me. I guess I'll just go ahead and give it a go.

The OF Rye is a sleeper, good stuff. Rare Breed Rye is another winner at $60. My group of old farts really likes it and got some good press recently too.

I liked it. Good flavor but has a little bite that a block of ice helps.

                      I liked the EHT better.

Had a pretty good day hitting up a few stores north of the Red River yesterday. Picked up a Little book Chapter 4, Elijah Craig BP C920, Weller Antique, Makers 101, Makers 2020 Limited Release (SE4XPR5), and a Woodford Reserved Double Oaked Store Pick. All at retail value. Passed on EC18, EHT Small Batch, and Eagle Rare, due to already having multiples.

I was traveling a lot this week. I was able to score 9 bottles of ECBP and a bottle each of Stagg Jr., Weller Full Proof, Weller Antique 107, and Elmer T. Lee. All at shelf price. I was a good boy this year.

                              Still looking to try:

EH Taylor other than small batch
                              Eagle Rare.

                              That’s my list for now...

The EH Taylor Rye is a favorite of mine, a little pricey but very good!

Eagle Rare is so good for the price!
