I am going heli hunting for pigs and coyotes this weekend and wanted to see if anyone had any tips on equipment or anything else. Probably going to shoot my 12 gauge, 00 buckshot but not sure if I should use a 26" or 18" barrel and what choke? I know the best thing to do would be to test different combinations at the range, but I don't have time for that.

Id say the 18" barrel with a red dot and buckshot would be a good way to go. -

How many can go in your tube? Depending on the terain and skill of the pilot you can get very close to them remember to shoot a little low and forward of where you want to hit.Comment

28" barrel w/ modified choke, 00 buck shot, get the extended magazine tube and you'll be set... it's a lot of fun... coyotes are a little tricky though.Comment

Lead them enuff; Don't eat a hearty breakfast before you head up; Make sure that harness is strapped on tight! I did this last summer and it was a blast...No pun intended. We were using Benellis loaded with 00 Buck shot. Our Heli pilot was very aggressive in getting you down on top of them. Oh yeah...not sure where you will be hunting, but be prepared to see some awesome deer too!
