    Stone veneer

My wife and I had a custom home built back in 2010 and sold it 3 years later and designed another one but before we started construction we found a foreclosed home on more land in the school district we wanted. We had stone veneer on the first house and planned on having it on the second house. Out of all the planning that goes into designing a home, picking the right stone was by far the biggest headache for me.

Do y'all have any stone veneer that you would recommend?
    Pictures?
    Price?

My home is all Austin stone which is good and not so good. In hindsight I wish we would have used a greater variety of colors. When we built our office buildings we used Leuders with a variety of other stones to break up the color a little bit. Came out awesome I think. Using several types of stone really makes a building/home look like a stone masterpiece. Of course you need a good stone mason to pull it off as well.

We had Coronado put on ours in 09. Still looks goo and no issues what so ever. Not sure on the cost because was part of a remodel job after hurricane Ike.

Is this something you can put over existing brick?

Make sure it is a real stone. The manufactured Stone looks manufactured when you get up close.

Coronado was the one I was going to put on my last house, glad to hear it holds up good.

From what info I can find it looks like it's pretty simple to install over brick.

It goes over brick very well. We sell Coronado and it is a good product, but there is no substitute for real thin veneer stone.

You may check into just bringing down the brick and doing stone. Veneers can get pricey compared to stone.

I thought Coronado is a thin stone veneer?

Coronado is a manufactured stone product--not a stone veneer.

They call it "cultured stone", and it is a man made cast product.

I've had tons of this put up on Commercial buildings and zero issues. We call it lick and stick....

What is the difference in price?
