I have a brand new 50" light bar that I put on my ranger today, it's one from eBay and seems to be built well but it's not a Rigid brand or anything. When I turn it on it makes a high pitch noise that doesn't stop, has anyone else had this happen? Could there be something causing it to do this?

Might be the ballast . I would ask seller to exchange it . -
Is it actually from the light? A lot of people have issues like this with their radios once they install HIDs or light bars.Comment

Yes it's the light bar itself, ranger is sitting still so it's not wind noise...I saw some YouTube videos of people putting insulation, silicone, weather stripping, etc in the back to help it but I think that was more for wind noise! It's loud!!!!Comment

I have one of the cheap 50" bars too. It's waiting to be installed. I either need a new roof or different mounting brackets. I can say that plugged into a 12v source, mine makes no noise.
How is yours mounted? Pics if you can please.Comment
