DFW: recommendations for installing brick walkway

We are kicking around the idea of having a brick walkway laid from the street to our front porch. Might also do another in the back from the garage to the shed. We have a small lot and plan to add even more landscaping. We're thinking herring bone pattern using brick.

Although it isn't technically complicated work, I'm still entertaining the idea of hiring out. It'll get done a lot faster (and hopefully no mishaps) that way.

Anyone have any recommendations in the Dallas area. For thos that have done this...what can I expect to pay?

You may want to consider patterned concrete, they have several brick stamps available, depending on footage and excavation you would be looking in the 10-12 a foot range, good luck with it.

Call Bob at Precision Pavers in Plano. I have used him a few times when I installed them at a few apartment complexes. 469-576-1939

I did not realize he was talking about pavers, I thought he was going to lay a concrete substrate and then use brick and mortar, pavers would be more economical.

Would highly recommend stamped concrete. The sub we use can do some pretty awesome stuff. Lone Star Concrete Systems in Watauga. Brad is a good guy and avid bowhunter.
