I've heard this as well but it's a bucket list I want to experience with my dad. As hard as I hunt big whitetail and we have a lease in Mexico I want to experience it as does he. I wouldn't be opposed to just Killin a wolf lol

Yep, every now and then lightning strikes and you can get a wolf. Got this one in Alberta on last day of deer hunt. Weighed 200 lbs.

A premier outfitting company in the North Alberta area. Specializing in whitetail, moose and bear and wolf hunts.

Group I knew that went up there on a moose hunt ended up shooting deer on the trip as well and a wolf & bear. Deer was a 177" 10pt and the other guy with a tag had a 170s 8pt he just wouldn't shoot walking through cover. Basically riding the oil field roads up there and looking over cuts and lots of pipelines was how they were hunting.

My dad is going on a rifle whitetail hunt this fall with them. I will provide a report on his hunt after he gets back. So far, he says they have been great to deal with.

I went on a great muzzleloader hunt before it got too cold. The guy's website is down but I can get you his contact info if you're interested:

                          Just updating this for Fred.

My old man struck out on his hunt, but did see a great buck (170"+) his last day. Just couldn't get him to stop for a shot. There was one massive 9point that scored in the mid 160's shot while he was there, and a couple more 150's hit the ground. (I think 4 out of 8 hunters killed, and a few others had opportunities but passed up 150" deer).

The conditions were not favorable for good hunting. Highs in the high 40's, lows in the high 20's and NO snow. The guides really rely on snow for patterning the deer up there in the bush country. There is no ag where they were hunting, so patterning is a much bigger challenge.

I am out of grad school now, so he and I will be going back this year to chase them again with the same outfitter. My father speaks highly of Troy Foster at North Alberta, so that was enough of an endorsement for me to go with him this year.

Make sure you have a clean criminal history lol. I wish the US was as strict on letting people in as Canada is. Even a previous DWI arrest or convection could keep you out of Canada!
