Anyone have anything to add to this thread? I have a Millennium ladder stand, and it's pretty sweet. Looking to get a light weight tripod to lug around and set up in different areas if needed. The seat on these Millenniums are dang comfortable. I'd purchase the leg extensions for sure just in case I needed to get up a little higher.

I would be concerned about having to turn if the shot was not in my shooting lane I was set up on. The smaller foot rest on the tripod are not going to be much help and the leg rest is going to be in the way. Lot of movement to get re-positioned I would think. Not sure about how comfortable the leg rest would be for 3-4 hours sit. There are a lot of positives though that are built into it.

I don't see anything to hang your bow or pack on though. So you would have to be next to a branch or something.
Yeah that's true. I have a couple homemade tripods that don't have a large platform or anywhere to hang a pack...I typically try to set them in a clump of trees to where I can screw a couple hooks in and have a place to hang my pack, bow, and quiver.Last edited by Skinny; 02-12-2017, 12:48 PM.

You have any pics of your modifications?

It is on my list of things to get this off season. Trying to use it in low trees mesquites. I narrowed it down to this or the South Texas tripod. The south Texas place is in Spring, and I travel there a few time a year so I wouldn't pay for shipping. The T-100 was $377 on amazon. That T-100 seat looks way comfy. I will subscribe for more details.

Yeah I'm a big guy so the seat is everything for me. I've sat in some really nice tripods but the dang seats were very small and uncomfortable. It would be nice to have a sturdy, lightweight tripod with an exceptional seat.
I know the millennium seats are nice....

I have used the South Texas Tripods before and they are definitely easy to move around and setup. Plus they have several different sizes to choose from. On the other hand, they're not the most comfortable stand to sit in (especially for a bigger guy) due to the short platform for your feet (I know they make a foot rest attachment now but have never used it). The boat seat isn't the most comfortable thing either, especially if you plan on sitting longer than 2-3 hrs.

Yep that's why I'm leaning towards to Millennium. I hog hunt at night a lot and a 4-6 hour sit isn't uncommon.
