    Stop dipping product review

I went on a hunt two weekends ago where everybody was dipping. After 8yrs of not having a dip and NEVER wanting to dip again the cravings hit bad. I still have some weak cravings but not as bad as this.

I got some Backoff "energized" wintergreen.

It smells, tastes, spits like dip and even has a slight burn to it. It's all FDA approved ingredients. It's definitely helped. The energy part... I'm on the fence about, but am leaning towards saying yes there is an energy boost from it. Still having a hard time swallowing it even though it's safe to do so. It's like muscle memory to spit.

I read where people are cutting it with real snuff and decreasing it weekly to help quit. I can see that it would work if you are serious.

It's not perfect, but helped me this week.

I also ordered some "grinds" the coffee based dip and will try that too and review it.

You could start a club called "Dipping Dr.s"

I did not care for Backoff. Maybe it was just the cans that I got, but it was really dry.

You ever try a Vape? I know probably a dozen people who have kicked cigs from them. I don't see why it wouldn't work for snuff. Especially paired with chewing gum, sunflower seeds, etc..

Using Backoff and/or Smokey Mountain (I preferred Smokey Mountain), and mixing it with copenhagen, is how I managed to quit 6 years ago. I started off by mixing 4 cans of copenhagen with 1 can of the other in a zip lock bag, and then refilled the cans with the mixture. Once that was gone, I did 3 cans to 1, then 2 to one, 1 to 1, 1 to 2, etc. I did it over a period of about 6 weeks, and only really felt withdrawals for about a one week period in the middle. When I finally cut the copenhagen out all together, I did not even notice it.

For me, it made me realize that I was as much (or more) addicted to the act of dipping as I was to the nicotine, so I told myself I could continue to use backoff or smokey mountain for as long as I wanted to. For about a year, I kept using that stuff, but slowly the appeal was less and less, until I hit a point that I didn't really care to do it any more.

I agree it's the ACT of dipping than the nicotine for me anyway.

I did actually smoke at an inappropriately young age and absolutely loved smoking but switched to dip bc I thought it was safer. I don't feel the need to vape nor having the inhalation craving.

Like I've said it's been at least 8yrs since I've fed the cancer genes and not gonna start now.

I originally tried some herbal snuff probably 5-6yrs ago and it was dry and did nothing. This stuff has been much better.

The vap still has almost as much nicotine in it as cigs. I also have read that it is actually worse for you than cigs. I have never done it, but I do have a buddy that quit dipping for the vap.

IHA d good luck with the Smokey Mountain too, but I didn't have to mix with the real stuff. I think the fact that I ordinarily dipped mint flavored Skoal helped a lot. I switched over to the mint Smokey Mountain and didn't really miss much. I think the mint was the factor there.

Mint skoal was my poison. Always liked the idea of Cope black, even added extra bourbon but it never tasted as good as it smelled.

To the top, help a brotha stop!
