    Herby-K's for a po-boy.

    Strawn's for pie and coffee.

Unfortunately Shreveport/Bossier is not really know for great eats but as others have mentioned, there's a couple decent spots.

Ernest's Orleans formerly Ernest's Supper Club
Ernest's Orleans Restaurant has been a part of Shreveport's history for over sixty years! Located at 1601 Spring Street, sitting on top of the hill, Ernest's features prime steaks, famous marinated crab claws, fresh seafood, and Italian eats.

I would think somewhere off the boardwalk would be best

I agree... Always best to take the shuttle or a cab if dining at SB&G, IMO. ;-)

May have to try it. Where exactly is it from the boardwalk?

If you like Italian, Monjuni's - the original one on Louisiana Ave.

Just take your favorite margarita recipe and replace the tequila with everclear. I've seen some crazy stuff over the years with superior margaritas!!!

Back to the original question. I like Strawns and Wilsons Bistineau Inn. We used to go to Shockleys for fish but I think it closed years ago.

It is south of Piermont on the east side of Line Ave in S'port.
