Well put--I guess I can't find the words or the time this morning but you're spot on.
No way am I trying to belittle the NC game. Its kinda like back in the day when the Cowboys played 49ers for the NFC championship, it seemed a bigger game than the SB, from a Cowboys fan perspective.

Texas/OU is the same way but I can assure you Texas would take a loss to OU every year if they could win the national championship...

There are some schools that thrive on moral victories, but give me a NC all day over a rivalry game victory.
That rivalry had been big between the two schools for decades... It's just gotten more attention recently because of their rankings.

We started playing them on an annual basis in '64 and the conferences split in '92 creating showdowns almost annually. So ya....

I understand....my Dad is from Alabama and a big fan... but lovemylegacy was referring to the game having NC ramifications....hence my reply..

            .
Well let me clarify, I am sure they would rather have more NCs, but the SEC Champ games just seemed bigger. Even watching Bama play for the NC the game seemed to not be as pressure packed as the SEC Champ game. Not trying to belittle the NC game. Just seems different, that's all. Well the rain is almost done, time to hit the woods...

Was it too close to take with 2 strikes, absolutely. I imagine the coach told him exactly that too. The 2-2 pitch was awfully close but a ball. I have seen them ring someone up on a worse pitch in college. He dodged the first one but not #2.

Great game all around. Tonights game should be another great one. Both starting pitchers have a 1.40 ERA
I agree with Sticks&Strings. IMO, Blue missed the call on 2-2 and decided to make up for it on 3-2. The 2-2 pitch was one that he had been calling a strike pretty much all night. The 3-2 ball was just that, a ball.

The game will be on the Watch ESPN app. I believe Direct TV allowed access to the app to their subscribers a few months ago.

You could watch on your phone or computer, hook your computer to the tv or use something like Chromecast to watch it on the tv.

The SEC Network alternate channels are also on

                  DirecTV (Ch. 611-1) and DISH Network (Ch. 596/597 & 404.1-404.2 on the Hopper), AT&T U-Verse (Ch. 608/1608 & 609/1609) and Verizon FiOS (Ch. 332/832).

If its on the SEC alternate it looks like I have it on FIOS so I'll be flipping back and forth between Texas/TCU on FSSW+ although I bet it is rained out if its raining in Ft Worth like it is raining here..

                    Ugh.

I guess in football the Big 10 and ACC title games were the biggest the past two years.

Can't wait for tonight! Die hard Aggie baseball fan here. That was one of the most exiting games I've watched in a while last night. Something about competing in the SEC just makes it more fun for me. SEC! BTHO swamp kitties

My brother, an Aggie, sent me this about the '89 games between the two schools.

Him and I both question the beer/rocks part but still is a good article on the turn of events back then.

Both great ball clubs--excited to see these two play each other more in the future.

Good article......but this, "LSU players and coaches remember A&M fans threw nuts and bolts and dimes and nickels at players. They stood on LSU’s dugout and dumped Coke and beer on those who exited and entered.

In left field, fans took rocks from the nearby railroad tracks and slung them into the LSU bullpen.

“Randy Davis had to put a hard hat on,” McDonald said.

"People were following us in cars and flipping us off,” Davis said."

Absolutely false....not an ounce of truth in these statements. And yes I know, because I was in the dugout and in those pens. There was no extra security and no one wearing a hard hat. Maybe they've got that confused with one of their "home" games!!
