Was a great game and will be a great series. Celebrations after a win like that are what make college baseball one of the great pure events in all of sports - good kids competing without all the drama that is college football... Nice win LSU tonight - I'm guessing it will be 2 more games like this one.

Sure wish SEC alternate channel actually worked on Direct Tv so i could watch Lange pitch tonight. hope for another good one this evening weather permitting.

If ags win tonight in the same way this one finished, I suspect they will rush the field. I don't hate on lsu for that one bit.

Worst part of the game is when ags had bases loaded 2 outs, full count. Pitcher throws a ball just outside and our batter takes it. Surely he has played enough ball to know that you can not take that pitch. Foul it off, hit it, or try to do something. You are playing an away game where you are not going to get the benefit of the doubt.

I hope the ags can take the next two.

This is probably the most level headed comment that I have read from an Aggie fan in regards to that pitch. Was it outside, possibly. Was it too close to take with 2 strikes, absolutely. I imagine the coach told him exactly that too. The 2-2 pitch was awfully close but a ball. I have seen them ring someone up on a worse pitch in college. He dodged the first one but not #2.

Great game all around. Tonights game should be another great one. Both starting pitchers have a 1.40 ERA

Well, just from a fans perspective, having watched a lot of rivalry games concerning LSU, usually those games carry the weight or opportunity of getting to the NC. Once that game is won or lost the NC seems...and Im searching for a word here...not as big. That's the only way I can put it. Maybe its just an SEC thing, I don't know. It just seems that when a team plays for a SEC Championship and that is a rivalry game to boot, it has much more weight to it than the NC game. Tell me how many college football teams can say that...a handful, maybe? When those 2 teams meet it usually is a undefeated or 1 loss teams going against each other for the right to play the NC game, vs, against an opponent that very few if any games were against that team for the NC. Best I can do Smart in explaining.

I understand but that Alabama/ LSU game has just become a truly meaningful game over what....the last 5-6 years though.... Alabama was crap for years til Saban.

Texas/OU is the same way but I can assure you Texas would take a loss to OU every year if they could win the national championship...It would suck but ..

There are some schools that thrive on moral victories, but give me a NC all day over a rivalry game victory.
