Can anyone tell me why Memphis Grizzlies have home court advantage against the Blazers? The Blazers are the 4 seed and Memphis 5 seed. Regardless of the records, the higher seed should have the advantage right???

Yep the Blazers won the Northwest division so they get an automatic top 4 seed but Memphis had a better record so they get home court. The NBA is talking about changing this next season.Comment

Wow. That makes no sense whatsoever. That's like nfl having a wildcard team with a better record than a division winner getting a bye in the first round. I've followed nba for a long time and never noticed this happen.Comment
