    Gallbladder removal followup ?

So I had my gallbladder removed last thursday. I am healing up pretty well and getting around good etc. I had heard that some have real issues with things going straight through them so to speak after surgery. If you had these problems afterwards did it start pretty quick after the surgery or wait awhile. I am crossing my finger that so far so good in that regard. I had pizza yesterday and a steak tonight and no problems. For those that have been through it whats your experience....I am hoping I am a lucky one that maybe doesnt have that issue.

You'll learn the foods that go straight through. Mostly super greasy and high fats until your liver adjust to breaking it all down.

Greasy food has that affect on me from time to time since my surgery.

The only thing that bothers me is pepperoni. But it bothered me before the surgery. As soon as it was OK for me to eat real food, first thing I had was double meat double cheese with jalapenos and oinion rings from Whataburger.

Greasy food will sometimes get me too. Advice given to me from a good friend,"Sit and relax for about 10 minutes after your meal at a restaurant. If there is a problem, it will happen in that time."

My wife had hers out a few weeks ago. She seems to feel better now than she felt in years. She has a lot of energy and no problems so far.

I'm one of the lucky ones I guess, I never had a problem. Things only got better for me. Hopefully the same for you!

Well I so far have had pizza and a burger and no issues so I am hoping maybe I will be lucky enough to have no issues with it. I guess time will tell. I would think it would show up early on if going to but I am sure everyone is different. I havent had a beer yet so that will be next test lol.

I had mine removed in Dec. I feel better than I have in yrs. No problem with anything I eat. I think everyone reacts a little different. Good luck

Some lucky folks. I had mine removed about five years ago. Regardless of what I eat my stomach gets turned upside down. Bile dumps I think is what it was called.

                          Good luck

I wanna say I was having issues for at least a year, if not more. It wasn't an issue of what I ate, IMMEDIATELY after any meal, it was bathroom time. There was no holding back nature either, it was full on bubble guts. I can hold it like normal now, just took my body a little time to get used to it I guess. That was in 2008.
