So I just got scammed by a door sales person.... KLMN Reading Services

    Yep.....

Sitting here at home eating with the girlfriend and 2 young African Americans about my age knock on my door. Listen to a sales pitch and initially plan on saying no but then the sad stories about living in the inner city started and the one lady asked to sit down because she was pregnant and it started pulling at my heart.... Felt bad and they had me hooked.... Figured that 50$ in a magazine subscription wouldn't hurt that I had them address it to my parents house because I figured it would be something new for my dad to read.

They began asking questions about all the deer on the wall and seemed nice and eventually left.

Googled them immediately and my heart sunk..... Link upon Link about how its a scam, getting a refund is almost impossible, most never received their magazines.....

Man it's really starting to **** me off..

BBB helps consumers and businesses in the United States and Canada. Find trusted BBB Accredited Businesses. Get BBB Accredited. File a complaint, leave a review, report a scam.

Klmn readers services, inc. A / k / a universal subscription agency, inc. Has some serious problems. They want to sell you magazines. They will attempt to do so by targeting well - off neighborhoods with kids who tell sob stories of being in accidents, jail, from broken homes, etc. , and selling...

Don't fall for it guys and gals.... Primarily target wealthier areas too

      Oh well. Live and learn.

Next time, quietly listen to their pitch and then jumble a random sentence together in a really loud voice. Make sure to mention "the war." They will leave.

Had a lady once give me lip when I sad no. She looked around and said it looked like I was doing well and a few bucks wasn't going to set me back. I think her nose got broke by the door slamming in her face after that one.

Yep. I saw a receipt from them on the counter the other day. Asked the wife what it was. Pretty sure it wasn't legit and told her not to buy anything like that again. Reminds me of the scene in Office Space a little. Just not as funny when it was my money. I am in College Station too same company.

I was stiffed on three subscriptions for $130 worth. Sad thing is that I turn away all door to door types now.

We had some real pushy sales person going around in my neighborhood. They wouldn't let you close the door on them and just hassled people. Had the cops called on them multiple times. They finally stopped coming around when my neighbor had to show his concealed carry when the lady was up in his garage and wouldn't leave.

It is a shame because there are still honest door to door sales trying to make an honest living. I too turn them all away now. Well, my dog turns most of them away first:-)

Don't ever invite them in. Now they scoped out your house and saw your deer. Now they know you have firearms in the house. What we do is say no thanks and offer them some bottled water. Out on the porch. Sorry brother that this happend to you

Open the door with a pistol in your hand in clear sight. It usually makes them save the crappy sales pitch for the next person.

You are a lot nicer person than I am for letting a stranger into your house.

In the event that I do actually answer the door for a salesman I shut the door behind me so they can never see inside and proceed to back them off my porch before they start into their sales pitch.
