Ran some jug lines last weekend.

The family and I went camping last weekend on Lake Lewisville and the kids and I put out about 30 jug lines.

This fish fell in the slot for Lewisville and we had to let him go. The pic doesn't do justice to how big he was. He drug a 1 gallon jug and a full sized brick over a half mile!Click image for larger version

I used a combination of regular and circle hooks all were 4/0 I think. They both worked as well as the other.

Its my understanding more and more lakes are implementing them for catfish.

Thanks! I've already been pricing noodles and PVC pipe for our next trip.

Does anybody have any tricks for catching/trapping bluegill to use for flathead bait? I've got several creeks around my house that I'm sure are full of them.

The small red worms from any bait store will pull them out one after another. I know a guy that fishes argosy tournaments and this is how he catches them.

Crickets or small red worms on a little hook. Use an aerator to keep them alive for the flat heads and cut them for channel cats. Cast nets work really well in small creeks for bream also but it's illegal in some states. NC you could only fish with bream if caught on a hook.
