Anybody know/work for a company that installs silt fences??

Have a client that needs approximately 5,000 ft of silt fence installed in West TX, kind of close to Fort Stockton. Can get an exact location if needed. Need good quality reinforced material, done to TCEQ stormwater specs.


Please PM or call me asap. I need to get a quote (cost per foot) to the client by business close today. The actual job if accepted would be 1-3 months down the road.

I talked to my stormwater specialist here and here in Central Texas, the cost per linear foot is $1.24.

Installation with a crew of 3 guys might be at about $40/hour plus any mobilization fees.

I do not know what the difference is in west Texas.

Eek.. I've completely hit a wall!

I've tried calling every company in San Antonio, El Paso, and Odessa/Midland that sounds remotely like they build silt fences along with everyone's recommendations and cannot find one company to do it..

Hard to believe no one in the area wants a big job like this

Call the cities public works office and talk to the director / superintendant. He or she should be able to tell you some local companies that do that kind of work. If they're a large enough city they may have a stormwater / wastewater department that work with these contractors.

It's really in nowheresville out in the desert.. About half way between Odessa and Fort Stockton
