IF you could, I might accept a religion ( not Christianity), but it can't be proven so there's that.

Again, just pointing out I am agnostic. I do not actively believe there is no supreme power, I just don't think there's anything to have to believe against nor for.

I get the whole religion thing, I do. As said before I have no issues with people who want to believe it. I still go to church with my grandma when I go see her because it makes her happy, I sit there at the table when people say grace, If someone blesses me and says that god is watching over me, I say thank you with a smile. I don't interrupt anyone and say oh there's no such thing as god, christ, or the virgin mary. If it makes you happy as a person, I'm all for it.

I'm not an atheist so I really can't answer your question, but I would imagine if God came down to one and said, hey I'm god, I'd imagine the might be inclined to believe that thing, or head to an insane asylum. One or the other. The belief in God doesn't require proof. That's why it's called faith. It really isn't your concern what someone else believes if it doesn't infringe on your belief.

It is for that EXACT reason I cannot seem to come to terms with religion and my beliefs. I believe in God. I believe that Jesus died for my sins so I may have everlasting life. However there are a lot of aspects to religion and church that I question or that I disagree with. I am stubborn. I need to see it, touch it, feel it. Faith is something I struggle with because it is essentially the complete and total belief in something that you CANNOT prove exists. That is so hard for me to wrap my head around. I see people every day that have faith. There is something different about them, they are happy, they are calm, they have bright faces and kind hearts. I am so envious. I want that so badly and yet my stubbornness, my need to see proof, my need for answers to all the unknowns keeps me from achieving it.
There are extremists everywhere, I ignore them. There are those who judge and look down upon others. I ignore them as well. There are other people though... very special people who have an inner peace that seems just out of my reach. I want to know how I get to THAT. How do you let go of your need to control everything? How on earth can I possibly turn loose of the reins of my life and give them to someone I have no PROOF even exists? Its a circular thought process that I can't get out of. I believe but not totally because I don't have answers but I want the happiness that you get when you believe but I have so many questions that I don't have answers to in order to believe. Clear as mud?
Beautifully written. You just summed up the struggle that every Christian has at some point in their lives.

I'm certainly not "there" yet, but my faith is stronger today than it once was. I have more peace now in knowing that God is truly God, and I'm not. I used to want to see, touch and control everything too. I still do sometimes. But I went through some struggles in the past that were unquestionably beyond my control and beyond my capability to fix. From a mortal perspective, it was a hopeless situation. But then I watched God fix the unfixable and accomplish the impossible in my life. I didn't have any choice but to let go of the reins and just let Him work. Hardest thing I've ever done (letting go). BEST decision I ever made.

Getting to experience God's love and power in my life, when there was no other explanation for it, was awesome. Letting go was hard, and I wouldn't until I had no other options. Some people are smarter than me, and they'll let go before they're out of iptions. I'm hard headed.

We are the exact same. Can't say there is, can't say there isn't. That's the only fact in all of it, no one knows for sure either way!!!

Yes ...it has. EXACTLY as Jesus said it would. But only those that know Him are allowed the confirmation/proof.

See i would have assumed more than one nonbeliever would just answer the question...which ..to me proves only one thing...yall arent really angry with believers yall are angry with God...and thats ok...he will let you believe what you want ,thats your right given to all in the beginning...free will...its hurts him but then a non believer in heaven would actually be in some kind of hell....i dont foist my beliefs on anyone never have ...and if someone has a question i gladly answer it....but all this really is turning into is a spiritual chess match...ill walk with God in this and just its your choice.

LOL. Mmmmm yea that's not how it works. You asked a group of people a question and you got an answer. Whether you wanna be stubborn and believe everything you know is right or accept the fact that people have different views than you is completely your choice.

In my own opinion, again, entirely MINE, I would venture to say you live a much angrier life than me because you cannot accept the fact that not every single person wants to believe you want and you have to put blame to rationalize your anger.
