Summer Vacation in Montana / Yellowstone

Wanting to plan a summer vacation in Montana. I played minor league ball in Helena so I have a somewhat lay of the land. Here are the things I'm hoping for.

1. Cabin, preferably remote, with a stream close by for the boys to fish. Boys are 8/9. Dad likes to fly fish.

2. Within a reasonable driving distance to Yellowstone for at least a day.

3. Activities maybe such as white water rafting, atv trail/rental, horseback riding.

Any ideas? Basically need a cabin for a home base and then I can go from there.

We booked our condo stay in Destin on VRBO. I was surprised about the selections.

Big sky, stay on the gallatin or stay in the Madison somewhere, unreal fishing there

We fished with JT France last year in Madison and he was awesome. Also stayed at Chico Hot Springs but it would be a little pricey for a family vacation. I second checking VRBO out. I'm jealous!

My step dad lives in Missoula and owns Montana West Properties. I can ask him if he is aware of any rentals in the area if you want. It's about 3 to 4 hours to Yellowstone from there. So a bit of a ride.

Agreed on the longer drive from Missoula but I'd bet you'd enjoy it in that beautiful country
