Severe Weather and More Flooding Today

Are y'all ready for another round of flooding rains, damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes today?

The airmass overhead was worked over pretty good with that system that came through yesterday afternoon/night but it is currently in the process of reloading.

Short term models are showing an even more potent (than yesterday) MCS (mesoscale convective system) forming around San Antonio early this afternoon and pushing eastward as the day progresses.

All severe weather modes will be in place as mentioned above.

Feel free to post any info.

That was some storm yesterday in Hempstead, the winds had me a bit worried. Lost power for about 3 hours.

Weather sure has been interesting this week.

The Rec center at SHSU got wrecked yesterday. It was about a half block from my gym and I can tell you it was as bad a storm as I've been in a while. A ton of water was running down the roads and streets everywhere. Ready for more today

Thanks for posting. Sitting here drinking coffee and looking at blue skies had me wondering what to plan for the day.

I'm sitting in Colorado Springs looking at snow. I saw video on Facebook showing water rushing into the shsu received center. That was a lot!

I'm supposed to be wade fishing tomorrow morning, will I get a break in the weather or do we need to reschedule?

Woke up last night at 12:30 to the sound of pounding hail. It looked like dime/nickel size and luckily my garden survived.

The wind in Kilgore last night was something I have never seen before.

about 10 minutes of constant intense winds. I went to open the back door and it almost had a sucking sound like opening on of those high priced ice maker coolers...

No damage at our place but it did a number on the trees in the area.

Yeah it was pretty rough. I snapped a picture of the wall cloud that prompted the tornado warnings around 5:00

My guess as for the rate of rainfall was close to 2-3 inches/hour. It was a whiteout. When I finally made it home, the driveway was a river and the cows were standing in 8-10 inches of water... and my pasture has a slight slope to it So it was raining its *** off for a while

I saw the reports up that way yesterday. For water to gather up that quickly and that much, it had to of been intense! I only got an inch or so yesterday evening. The heavy t-storms were dancing all around me. I'm glad I missed the heavy stuff but not sure if I will luck out today. My garden is going to take a pounding.

Yes sir, it's gong to be a beautiful first half of the day today but these clear skies are helping to really make the atmosphere unstable for later on today.

ouch..............perfect skies right now! My folks are on the road to my house now. Hopefully they get here before the SAn Antonio system gets to the Houston area. They are almost in Lafayette and said it was getting darker as they approached that area.
