Thank you for the actual update BFF. All this predicting stuff is dumb. We can all rely on you for up to date radar down there where the coastal rats are wet!!!!!
I spent all morning, starting at 6am, trying to get the water off my young rice. Basically have 2000 acres underwater. Here are a few shots from my farm NW of El Campo. Six inches last night.
Round #143 it seems like. Over 35" since January 1 on the ranch I guide on just 2 miles north of Sinton ! My lease is about 8-10 miles north of this ranch we have had at least 25" !! Crazy crazy down here. Farmers are in bad shape
Boy howdy, that's a crap load of agua amigo. I bet y'all are sick n tired of it down there. Plenty of browse for the critters I'm sure.

Man, hate seeing that! Thankfully after today things will start to dry out for a bit.
We just had a line of storms move through. Winds were just shy of severe limits so no severe thunderstorm warning was issued, but I had my hands full trying to keep my truck on the road when it hit! My family and I were heading south between Whitney and Waco when it hit. Luckily the tornadic activity stayed north of us.

Yea, y'all can have that stuff. My garden hung in there the past 2 days but one more good rain would put a butt whoopin on it.
sittin in about 3" of water in my pop up blind in bell county right now.
Found out this bad boy has zero water repelling capabilities. Atleast Lightning has calmed down.
I go to SPC (storm prediction center) convective outlook. That's the best discussion and resource I know of.
I'm from central Arkansas, and as most of you know, we get some pretty big Tornados there. My son is kinda like Johnny, a severe weather self-taught outlook guy. He moved out of south Arkansas a year ago to Co Sprgs, a move that incredibly decreased his chances of having to witness a Tornado in person. I sleep a little bit better knowing that.

Here are the results of the rain in Llano and Gillespie counties:
My son and I were out turkey hunting and had to call it an early day when the storms hit. There was hail standing on the ground after the storm passed and lots of creeks running high.
