    Where to find camo-colored wood??

Hunted at a friends place this past season and he had a new bow blind. The blind was made of camo wood....yes, plywood sheets already colored.

The friend lets me hunt his place for free and lets me take any monster buck I see fit to take, so I was planning on making him a couple of those blinds as a thank you. Problem is, I can not seem to locate the wood.

I asked the friend where it came from and it turns out a relative of his made it and hauled it to the ranch. He asked the relative and was told the wood came from Lowe's in south Texas. However, I checked Lowe's and they look at me like I am crazy.

Anyone know where I can get camo plywood in the DFW area?

Lowe's should have it. May be a seasonal item.

I've seen it at Home Depot a few different times. It's like a vinyl film over one side of the wood. Here's a link to what I've seen.http://www.homedepot.com/p/Unbranded...1863/203519865

Not that it helps but the Lowe's in Palestine carries it.

Most any lumber yard. If they don't have it in stock they can order it

If i were you i would not waste the money on it.
All the examples of it i have seen are OSB plywood and will not last more than a few years before you will need to peel it off and paint or replace

That was my opinion when I looked at it at Home Depot. The only thing i came up with was to use some kind of sealant or something to weather proof it for longer durability.

All OSB has a coating on it(makes it real slick) and does provide some weather proofing. But it is designed to be in a moisture free enviroment, typically as decking on a roof. It would probably last a while if the camo never gets scratched and any possibility of rain or dew sitting on it is eliminated(non covered side)
