    Moultrie !-40 Update

Well, I had two brand new I-40's in the field as of two weeks ago.

The first one lasted 400 photos, then locked up. Not only was the display out, it was compleltey locked up.

I just got back and checked the other camera that I had put in a new spot. As of last weekend, it had only taken 20 photos, and was still working.

I check it today, and like all the others... the LCD was out. The camera seems to be working still, just no display.

I'm sure this (4th for me) will be the VERY FIRST they've heard of coming back....

I guess I'm going to the stealths. I hope I have better luck

Just checked mine last weekend. In the field since June. Had taken about 300 pictures, still has 85% battery and display was fine. I changed it to take more pictures with less delay. Will be checking it again the weekend of the 27th.

i bought an I50 a couple weeks ago and got about 1,100 in almost 2 weeks. the first 907 were in 7 days then i moved it to a new feeder that has just been put up. wanted to see what kind of hogs and if i had any deer coming. been working good so far but never know. i might go out there later today with it not working. oh and i got it set at 1 pic every 1 min. i dont remember exactly what the battery showed but i think it was somehwere in teh 90's.

battery life has never been an issue with this camera.

the only other problem with them (by other, I mean when they lock up, and stop working), is they didn't seem to trigger all the time.

Sorry to hear of the bad luck.

I went yesterday to check my D-40 I picked up from Academy last year when they had them on sale.
First time out, out for 2 weeks 65% battery life & NO pictures.
The ground is tore up around my feeder so lack of action wasn't the reason.

I put a new card in & crossed my fingers. I SHOULD be going back next week (sans IKE) & if it is still bad I'll be pulling the ole swapparoo....

I went out to the lease yesterday to check my camera and unfortunately it quit working on the 3rd of Sept. I had plenty of pictures but the LCD has now gone blank even agter I replaced the battery and now I am taking it back.

the funny thing is... my D40 still works! I paid $40 used from a guy I work with, and even though it's hard on batteries, at least it works as designed.... and it was $99 brand new.

This is my second year with the i-40 and everything works great. It has taken thousands of pics and the only problem is when the battery gets low the shown date becomes incorrect. I just retreived my 1st pics of the year, 750+ in 4 weeks and all seems well.
