HELP!! Mosquito Control - Around the Home

I woke up this morning to my 3 year old baby girls eye swollen from a Mosquito bite that wasnt there last night.

Appears my baby has an allergic reaction to these more so than the boys do.


Question is... What do I need to do to keep these out of the house? At night our back porch is covered with them and any time the door is opened they get in.

I know there is a guy on here that installs the misting systems. I just cannot remember which post I saw him talking about it.

I use Cutter Back Yard Control. {Lowes}

Spray everything. House - bushes - grass - everything.
For us it works 6 to 8 weeks. My son lives in the country and it works for 2 to 3 weeks for him.

Make sure you walk your property and check ANYTHING that can hold even 1/2 inch of water. If it can hold water, mosquitos will breed in it.
Gutters, tires, flower pots, the basin under flower pots, kiddie pools, buckets, cans, holes in the ground, holes in trees... find a way to drain all of it. It can take as little as 10 days for a mosquito to go from egg to adult.

This works for me out in Alvin. We are surrounded by rice fields, bayous and pizz pour drainage ( Thanks Brazoria County Flood Control District for trying to make water run up hill)

Anyway....works very well and will kill ants, spiders and anything else. Rain doesn't effect it either. Just hook on waterhose and get with it. Spray everything.....grass, shrubs, house, drive, dog kennel....

Also for the water I can't dump out (i.e. my runoff collection barrels for irrigation. Just put some soap in it. It will not effect your plants you water but it will kill the skeeter larvae.

I sprayed Malathon around the edges of my yard last week and have noticed a huge decrease in the number of mosquitos around.

I use this stuff too. I usually find it at Home Depot. We had a birthday party one Saturday we walked outside and got covered with Mosquitos. I sprayed everything good and let the ground dry for a couple hours . We went outside and not one mosquito bite !
