    Replacing Old Glory

I proudly fly my US flag everyday, but after 3 years it is faded and needs to be replaced. What is the proper way way to dispose of it?

You can drop it off at your local FD and they usually will take care of it for you

      Or burn it - respectfully.

Local VFW and boy scout troops have helped me on the past.

Proper burning of the flag is the only way to "properly" retire it

Take it to the VFW or American Legion. They'll handle the rest.

The Boy Scouts should also be able to take care of it for you. It is a pretty neat ceremony to watch.
