tree stand options instead of tie straps?

I took down a tree stand at the lease the other day that had 3 or 4 tie straps on it. It was always a noisy stand to sit in with any movement. I wish I would have kept my "gamehanger" tree stand with the chain. It was silent and comfortable, I just wish it had more foot room.

This got me thinking, has any one used any other materials or methods to hang a tree stand other than a nylon tie strap? They can be noisy (squeak against tree) and you can not leave them for multiple seasons with any security. I was thinking about a nylon coated steel security lock similar to a bicycle lock? would have to be a good length and have some measure of adjustability? or a good way to get a bind on a chain to retrofit it to any type of stand..

I sometimes use chain and turnbuckles. Have to loosen every year to keep the tree from growing around the chain.

This works great. I don't have it on every stand, but the ones i plan to leave out for long periods of time i do. Like stated on other set up, you need to "re-do" it occasionally so it doesn't grow into tree. It is a rock solid and quiet set up.

I guess from the lack of responses other than the few I see, that mpost people don't have a noise issue with nylon straps?

I've never had any noise issues with my straps like that. I put one about where the seat is, and one to the platform and suck it in TIGHT. It doesn't budge.

I usually use 3-4 ratchet straps And weigh 250. never have any noises. But I move stand regularly, usually taking them down everyears season.

I use 3-4 straps also and never use a cheap strap. Cinch them up tight and no issues with noise.

I like to drive in a couple 4-6" heavy nail under the seat portion on my ladder stands then bend them up ( in a hook shape). They hold the stand in place so the straps dont have really need to be very tight and dont make a noise.
And have even drilled a couple holes into the stand and screwed in lag bolts to the tree.
