    Ideas to send someone deployed

Working on sending another package to my buddy that is deployed and I'm running out of ideas. He is on his 3 Rd deployment. I always send things like jerky, protein bars, crystal light packets and 5 hr energy but I'm looking for some new stuff. Any ideas?

Seems like good stuff already. I always liked gettin jerky, any kind of water flavoring powder Cuz plain water gets old after having nothing else for months haha. Protein bars, those tuna or chicken packets in foil(easier to keep than cans), floss to get jerky out of teeth lol, baby wipes, energy drinks were always a treat, whatever kind of deodorant he likes using back home, maybe see if he is runnin low on toothpaste or other hygiene items. Also you can sign him up for certain gift boxes from certain organizations, they will send him care packages full of stuff. My mom sent me a giant bucket of peanut butter filled pretzels that were loved by my platoon.

I always loved getting venison summer sausage, cheese and crackers from back home. Those care packages of a taste from back home were lifesavers. Not to mention I sure was a popular feller during those times.

I sent A1 sauce, Tabasco, hunting magazines, sun screen etc to my buddy when he was deployed and he seemed pretty grateful for it

Baby wipes are a must. If he smokes or dips than that would be a bonus to send him. You would be surprised how much a dip or cigarette helps after being in a firefight.

We sent lots of jerky, tooth brushes, tooth paste, hunting magazines, a couple decks of cards, candy, baby powder, and a lot of other stuff I can't recall. I think we send 2-3 boxes full of stuff for some guys.

Depends on where he's at. in the middle of nowhere, baby wipes.

Some of the more memorable stuff I had sent to me were silly little things that were great for memories and passing the time we're cheap games & toys we got as kids. The little dollar store balsa wood glider airplanes, jacks, squirt guns, paddle w/ elastic string and ball. My family sent so many new pairs of socks, underwear, skivy shirts & baby wipes, that I finally had to ask them to stop because we had more than we could use in 3 deployments. So, they started piling on the fun stuff. Another thing we got lots of were playing cards. We would tend to wear a deck out pretty quickly.
