Sounds like a domestic deal where a guy barricated himself like Bullydog said If the cops were there a long time just posted outside of the house.

On drug busts they usually just barge in without warning and kick arse without making an all day event out of it.

We had the swat team with snipers on top of houses down the street about 2 weeks ago. A son had beat up his dad and it had been reported he was in the house with a gun. After hours long stand off they found out he was not in the house.

I'd call the police and ask for what happened, and how to request a copy of the report. You pay their salaries, it's no secret.

Sounds like you could have a little fun with them. Get the rest of your neighbors together and stand out front singing "bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for you, bad boys, bad boys..."

if is a on going investigation then yes it is a secret. i am sure when the investigation is over the police would be happy to tell him what happened or let him request a open records request for the report with some of the information deleted.

the "You pay their salaries" statement. i hope you were joking because a statement like that is nothing more than a joke!

Actually, it could have been a person with mental problems wanting to commit suicide. They use to call out the SWAT team all the time when somebody wouldn't come out so they would go in and get him and take him to get mental check-up.

In Texas, you can request a copy of a report through procedures, and as for salaries, I had a friend who was giving out a ticket and the woman started in on him about how she paid his salary. He had her sign the ticket, gave it to her and gave her five pennys, telling her that here was her contribution to his salary. I hate it when people tell me that.....
