    It's stringy and can be hard to split. Holds a lot of water and has a distinct smell, but it will burn once it's been dried a bit.

        Maybe best to just load up and haul to the lease for campfire.

          You can burn Elm....one thing, be sure you put up a fire screen because it will pop a lot while burning and it may pop out some coals onto the floor. Be safe.....
