How to treat porch posts ?

I have several large cedar trees that have been dead standing since a fire 3 years ago. I really want to use these for porch posts on the house.
How do you treat these to keep them from rotting out on the bottom. The regular posts have been buried in plastic post protectors in the ground and then the cement poured up to them but I'll never find a post protector that would fit these trees. Any ideas or suggestions ?
Pour the slab for the porch then set the posts on top maybe ?

Maybe lexan or starboard under the posts prevent water seeping in from the bottom?

I used some cut cedars for porch posts but left the bark on and sunk them in the ground

How long have you had them buried ? These don't have any bark left on them

My porch posts I stuck in the ground at the end if summer. Our skinning shack is done the same way and those have been in the ground about 5 years. It's built with 6 posts so far so good all have the bark as well

I have cedar trees for my porch poles. I have them on top of the concrete, we drilled holes in the bottom and anchored with rebar and epoxy into the concrete, hurricane straps on top. coated them with helmsman spar urethane, I used water seal at first but they just turned grey.
