Keep in mind when you go to a tandem dooley you will need a Class A drvers license
I have not seen this if its regarding agriculture use.
he will still get harassed by dot...trust me. I have been hotshotting 8yrs and have family and friends being targeted on a regular basis hauling tractors
If you not in a hurry hook up with ur local Ag shop they're always looking for projects to build for people ... I'd build it no doubt one way knows my work and one way also has dang super nice trailers As we'll. I personally have a 26 lowboy and 28 lowboy and several bumper pulls 26 is perfect for me it will haul whatever I need has two 7k axles n 14 ply tires
Funny thing. I teach ag but I am not the welding teacher at my school. And right now I can buy one just as cheap as buying the materials to build one
Not needed with a farm tag, but you are limited on what you can do haul
^^^^ Sorry but the law has changed with farm tags you must now hold a minimum of a Class A for any combination "Tow vehicle and trailer gvwr of 26,000# or more" any tandem dooley trailer is going to have a GVWR of about 24,000# by itself.

Recreational vehicles driven for personal use (although a CDL is not required, individuals may need to obtain a Class A driver license), and
A vehicle used exclusively to transport seed cotton modules or cotton burrs.
^^^ I agree with this. We've never been stopped for pulling our dual tandem trailer. It's all for farm use as well. I would check at Crockett Iron Works. They also have a store in Nac but we got ours cheaper is Crockett. Its a 32' dual tandem with torque tube. It's also a low profile trailer. We double stack hay and it helps from getting quite so top heavy in the turns.

I have not checked with Nac Iron works, but they have done work for me in the past. The owner was a TBHer, not sure how often he gets on here any more
Thanks everyone for the help I looked at lots of trailers and ordered one today. I went with a 33ft ( 28ft deck 5ft dove) PJ Dual Tandem with torque tube, frame bridge, monster ramps, and a few other goodies. It all came down to what I personally felt was the best built trailer along with what I thought would have best resale later on. I have owned PJ before and it was a great trailer so I am hoping this will be the same. Now in the near future I may have to go from 3/4 ton to a dually lol.
