Well the family is wanting a pool this year. I know.... Best days are the day you get it and the day you get rid if it like a boat, but with young kids I figure they will get plenty of good use out of it. I grew up with a pool and don't remember ever being out if it. I've looked at a few companies and have even considered doing the contracting myself. Has anyone had any good experiences with either? Companies to recommend or stay away from? Really want someone that is trustworthy and does a quality job and not charging an arm and a leg.

Search it up on here there is a lot of good info on it. I pulled up an old thread on it the other day. We are going to do the same. Getting rid of my huge deck and 27' round above ground for and In ground pool and outdoor kitchen. Let me know if you can't find the old thread and I will point you in the right direction.

Gohlke jacked up my yard, the side of my house, the retaining wall in my neighbors yard.
Showed up to clean blue plaster off of my house with a garden hose, it didn't work.
It appears rather than use the bin they set up to clean out hoses, they decided to use my driveway, side yard and kids play set.
I'll need a ton of sod to fix what they've destroyed and it appears my pebbletec is already flaking after a week.
We will see how bad they want the last 50% of my bill based on their next course of action.
In fairness to them it was their subcontractor that did all of this
To bad the foreman didn't hang around for QC like he led me to believe he would.Last edited by Sparkles; 04-06-2015, 09:19 PM.
