    Drive-In Finally opened!

The new drive-in in New Braunfels opened. No Juan Special and I came to check it out. This place is packed! I never got to go to one as a kid. Very cool experience. Next time, we're bringing the cooler!

Awesome! There is one in Waller (Showboat) we've gone to with the kids. It's a lot of fun, and pretty inexpensive compared to typ movie theaters.

1178 Kroesche Lane, New Braunfels. It's the Stars and Stripes Drive in. Good prices- all are double features, $8 for adults, kids $4, toddlers free. They're supposed to finish building a kids playground soon. Has a diner and all the movie goodies.

Wow, a newly built drive in? That's great, I hope it does well. Going to the drive in with my family back in the 60's made for some great memories. For some reason I still remember seeing a double feature at the Admiral Twin drive in (Tulsa) when I was about 10 - "Cat Ballou" featuring Lee Marvin and 19 year old Jane Fonda, and "Daktari!" With John Wayne and Red Buttons.

Never been to one. Is it better than going to a theater? If so, why?

Heh, The Rice Drive In in El Campo. When the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out we were there and a buddy reminded me that we had a chainsaw in the bed of the truck.

He got out, fired it up and started running around revving it up. People were screaming, many speakers got torn off of their posts as people cranked up their rides and hauled butt lmao.

We got into trouble but it was sure enough worth it.
