I had a 2012 Journey as a company car that had a little dinky 4cyl engine and it was the biggest piece of crap I have ever driven.
That being said, I rented one a couple of weeks ago while in Atlanta on business and I will say the new models are very nice and the 6cyl has plenty of power. BIG IMPROVEMENT on interior features and comfort IMO. It completely changed my mind on the Journey...so much so that I have been talking to my wife about the possibility of getting one for her when the time comes to trade in her ride. -
My wife had one as a rental car when hers was in the shop, and she loved it. She liked that it wasn't huge and had a third row. I looked at the Kia Sorento online today and it looks nice as well.Comment

I bought my wife a Jeep Patriot in 2008, it's the same platform so basically the same vehicle. Sold it to a family member and 200k later it's still kicking with no engine/trans issues. It was always noisy and cheap feeling but very dependable.Comment
