visiting colorado in early May?

Any suggestions on places to visit on a 3 day weekend for 2?

Was thinking gunnison but wasnt sure if its still too cold.

What are you looking to do? Normal touristy stuff? Fish? Hike? Fun drive through the mountains? All of the above?

Hike would be cool but were up for whatever outdoor stuff.
I drove thru gunnison on a hunt trip in oct and its beautiful...I just wasnt sure if the 1st week of may is too soon to go back to skip the snow and harsh weather

Always liked breckenridge. Plenty of fishing with a river in town, reservoirs nearby, small town shopping, the dillon dam brewery up the road. Went on some trails in the jeep once and probably some hiking trails but i usually focused on fishing

Pagosa Springs, hands down

I just got back from a trip there last week and the weather was great 28 at night and 65 during the day perfect for hiking. We stayed in pagosa springs.

Around there yes Ouray is way cool. Pretty drive too. Durango is nice. Mesa verde is a must. I am jealous
