Boiled Crawfish in a Yeti cooler?

Ok, just as the title suggest, I've always kept a beater ice chest for my crawfish boils and I've seen how quickly they'll crack and stain a cheap ice chest. I'm boiling crawfish this weekend, and only have my Yetis at the moment. I know they are built better, so I'm not so much worried about the cracking, but would you use a Yeti for bugs, or not take the risk and buy another beater?

I've used mine on multiple occasions. They haven't stained or anything.

I use my yeti every boil I do and they don't stain or smell!

This is good to hear. We're gettin' a mess of them this Friday and I might just go ahead and stick them in my Yeti.

There was another thread on here that said they put them in a K2 cooler and it warped from the heat. Hard to risk it when they cost that much though.

Only bad thing is they retain the heat so much better they overcook in the cooler

Add a bag of ice after you shut off the flame. Then hose off the sides of the pot.

You'd be surprise at how that can help drop the temp while the crawfish soak up the seasoning. When you pull them from the pot, you'll be able to put them in your grandads ice-chest and not warp it.
