I've thought about bringing my nikon out on yak but scared I'll get it wet...think I'll risk it eventually..

Yeah I try to be as cautious as possible with it, I think it’s size really helps out versus a bulky dslr though. Only thing I miss about my dslr is it’s focus points seemed to be better.

Hopefully have one more outing tomorrow.

Trout are really running in Rockport, Corpus area. A lot of 27 to 32s being caught. I been getting limits but all 16 to 22s.
Seems the Snook and trout have turned on good since all the fishing piers are gone and pressure is off. Oso and Packery are hot. Even had a paddle boat pass me yesterday they had it decked out.

how is st charles?

st charles is good haven't been in a week but my buddy hit the far side got 5 trout 20 to 23 and 3 reds 23ish in an hour and a half. Gravel and grass 4 to 6 feet has been good. Live shrimp on popping cork or purple and green paddle tails.

Headed to St. Charles bay tomorrow around 1pm. fished some canals off of Copano today saw some big reds but wouldn't bite. 1st time Iv'e tried canals wasn't all that fun. One of my buds does it and is successful I just did like the small area.
