Back to kayak fishing for the spring...

A couple decent bass from Brushy Creek Lake Park.

Largest was 18.5" and with that belly would have approached 4 lbs.

Been down in the Saint Petersburg FL area for the past 2 weeks camping at Fort Desoto. Lots of trout and ladyfish. Really nice camping/kayaking spot.

Lol...most of the men on my dad's side of the family are big ol boys. I'm 5'11" (took after my mom's side) and my dad is 6'6". Colton might give my dad a run for his money.

Are the kayaks at academy any good? If not what are some good brands for a beginner?

I have perception pescador from Academy. It's made from the mold of old wilderness tarpon. I use it for fishing rivers and yaking bait out in surf, been great for me.
