Great place with lots of trails, never now about the river in June. My guess yes at that time. Also close enough to head in to Austin for some great food.

I believe San Antonio is much closer than Austin. The river should be okay for early in the year.

Or head out to Boerne or Bergheim for some good eating places if you want to stay out of San Antonio. I utilized the restroom/shower facilities during my draw hunt and they were very nice and clean.

The answer to this question can change at any minute. It's running a little bit now, but one good rain shower and it could turn into a head for the hills flash flood. If it hit the 100's in May and you don't come down until late June then there may not be a river... so the direct answer is yes and no.

I just returned from camping there this weekend with my 4yr old boy, 2yr old girl, and wife. My daughter wouldn't goto sleep. Screaming til 11pm. Put her in truck to drive her around. Made it 25 yds and park ranger pulls me over lights flashing....

He Walks up to the truck and asks "what you doing driving around past designated quiet time?"

I rolled down back window - daughter still screaming - and said "getting this one to fall asleep. Want me to take her out ... It won't be quiet."

            He says "drive slow"

It's a great park. You will love it. Most of the camp sites are very secluded because all the brush between sites. And the river is beautiful!

While you are there take a little time and check out the "Cave Without A Name" that is the caves name. It is right by the part and quite beautiful.

Best plan! Our wet winter show promise to keep the rivers flowing!
